Flat Pouch

The block bottom pouch is also known as a flat bottom pouch. It is a stand up pouch combined with two side gussets, and uses up less film or material but holds more product volume so you can package content that would traditionally go into a folding carton, like cereal.

It has a completely flat bottom so it sits sturdily on shelf. They can be made of various materials such as plastic, foil and paper and it can be printed on all sides, including the gussets for attractive retail display.

Options include valves, tear notch or recloseable zipper. These can be premade or formed on a VFFS, or Pouch Inline/Rotary production line from printed packaging film, and then filled and sealed to suit your application.

Common applications: nuts, coffee, granola, cereal, crackers, snacks.
